Two Honduran appointment portals (as of October 15, 2026)
Re-checked October 15, 2026, this office’s page on the Embassy of Honduras site still sends its Agendar Cita Consular button to SRECI’s portal, citaconsular.sreci.gob.hn. Six other offices in the embassy’s 19-office directory (Aurora, Kansas City, Los Angeles in Glendale, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Tampa) now link instead to asuntosconsulares.inm.gob.hn, an application that asks you to register an account. The portal’s public terms, read October 15, 2026, call it the only authorized and completely free site for booking appointments at Honduran consular offices abroad, warn against paying anyone for an appointment, and say that if you miss an appointment or arrive without the requirements you can reschedule it or request a refund (devolución) from Honduras’s Secretaría de Estado en el Despacho de Finanzas. If the New York button does not load a booking page, ask the consulate at consulado.newyork@sreci.gob.hn or (646) 921-4129 which portal to use.

- Age rule: “Los menores de 21 años únicamente pueden solicitar pasaporte por 5 años” (applicants under 21 can apply only for the 5-year passport).
- Adult passport documents: adults over 21 must present a valid DNI, proof of payment (“comprobante de pago”) and the appointment confirmation.
- Same-day passport: only if the consular office has a printing center, “salvo circunstancia ajenas”; otherwise the FAQ says to ask the consulate about delivery times. It does not say whether the New York office has one.
- Apostilles: not done at consulates; they are done by the competent authority of the country that issued the document.
- Payment method: the FAQ does not state accepted forms of payment.
