Status as of October 3, 2026: no Venezuelan consulate in the US is open for services. Venezuela and the United States agreed on March 5, 2026 to re-establish diplomatic and consular relations (statements by Venezuela’s foreign ministry, MPPRE, and the US State Department). On September 12, 2026, Venezuela’s state broadcaster RNV reported that the New York consulate had been renovated but that the authorities had not yet issued an official statement setting a date for its opening to the public or enabling its appointment system, and MPPRE’s list of Venezuelan consulates worldwide, checked October 3, 2026, includes no office in the United States.
