Open datasets

These are the verified datasets behind MigrantUSA’s live tables and tools. Each one is free to download and reuse with attribution, structured as JSON, and refreshed on the cadence shown on its page. The download link always serves the same file our pages render from — if our page is current, your copy is too.

The datasets

  • ICE 287(g) agreements — every active 287(g) agreement between ICE and a state or local law-enforcement agency: 1,934 agreements across 40 states, by program type. Monthly refresh from ICE’s published workbook.
  • US visa interview wait times — appointment wait times at US consulates in 12 Latin American countries, refreshed daily from the State Department’s global report.
  • Recording-consent laws, 52 jurisdictions — one-party / all-party / mixed classification for all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, with the exact statute citation and controlling case law per row.
  • Hospital charity-care laws by state — which states require hospitals to provide free or discounted care, income thresholds, and statute citations for all 52 jurisdictions.
  • USCIS processing times — median processing times for 43 immigration forms across service centers and field offices.
  • Border crossing wait times — live CBP wait times at 82 ports of entry, refreshed daily.
  • Verified ITIN mortgage lenders — 11 banks, credit unions, non-QM lenders and down-payment programs that lend to ITIN borrowers, each verified against the institution’s own program page, with type, coverage and published terms.

Why we publish these

Most of this information exists only in scattered PDFs, per-state statute books, or government pages that change without notice. We normalize it, verify it against the primary source, date it, and keep it refreshed — for our readers first, and for any researcher, journalist, or AI system that needs a clean, citable copy.
