How to find someone held here
ICE provides the Online Detainee Locator System. The Sheriff’s roster page also publishes office contacts: (801)778-6700 or (801)778-6737.
The roster page warns, “This website is not an official Inmate Roster,” and says use requires understanding and agreeing to its Terms of Use.
Visiting
The Sheriff’s visitation page says inmates who have been classified may have visitors. It allows one or two twenty-five minute visits per week, depending on classification, conducted on a video monitor. Visitors must schedule an appointment at least one day in advance; appointments may be made in the jail lobby or at https://securustech.net/.
Visits are by appointment only. The page says the visiting week runs Monday through Saturday, with Sundays closed, and appointment availability depends on classification. Its published visitation hours are:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1pm to 9pm;
- Wednesdays No public visits;
- Saturday 10am to 8pm;
- Closed Sundays;
- Internet visits start at 10am Monday through Saturday.
Conflicting lobby hours, as of October 23, 2026. The visitation page lists Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7am to 9pm, Wednesdays 7am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm, and Closed Sundays. The inmate-services page instead lists 8am to 9pm every day, excluding holidays and Sundays, and only open until 5pm on Wednesdays. These are conflicting published lobby schedules, separate from the visitation hours above.
Money, phone calls and mail
Deposits and commissary. The Sheriff’s inmate-services page says friends and family may deposit into the Inmate Trust Account, also called an inmate’s “books.” The lobby kiosk accepts cash or credit card during reception hours; deposits may also be made at www.inmatecanteen.com. Processing fees apply to all inmate deposits. The two published lobby schedules differ, as described above. Inmates may use their trust-account money to buy approved commissary items once per week, including personal hygiene items, candy and snacks.
Phone calls. The same page names Securus Technologies as the inmate telephone provider. Housing-unit phones allow outgoing pre-paid or debit calls; incoming calls are not accepted. Inmates may transfer commissary funds to make calls. Telephone-account deposits are available at https://securustech.net/ or 1-800-844-6591.
Postal mail. The Sheriff says mail must arrive through the U.S. Postal Service and will not be accepted at the lobby window. Only white, prestamped or metered postcards are accepted. Mail in envelopes or with pictures or adhesive stamps will be returned; no letters may be sent in with photos. The published mailing format is:
Inmate's Name
Inmate's Number
PO Box 14000
Ogden, UT 84412
Email. The page says inmates may receive emails at securustech.online/#/login, with applicable fees.
Oversight and inspections
ICE’s Office of Detention Oversight inspection index, as recorded on October 23, 2026, lists no report under this facility’s name.
Separately, the Sheriff’s PREA page states a zero-tolerance standard for sexual assault and sexual misconduct and publishes PREA Report Line: (801)395-8221. Its inmate-services page says inmates may use a grievance system for complaints directly concerning them and that medical staff is on duty 24 hours per day. These are the operator’s statements, not inspection findings.
