The jail
The Sheriff’s Office says Corrections Services operates Hamilton County Jail & Detention Center as the intake point for all arrestees in the county, regardless of the arresting agency. It lists the facility at 601 Justice Way, Chattanooga, TN 37421, with phone 423-209-7125 (checked October 24, 2026).
The corrections page separately gives (423) 209-7050 for inmate inquiries. The official Inmate Information page says searches use a last name or SPN# (checked October 24, 2026).
The Sheriff’s Office says personal visits are by video through GettingOut and require advance scheduling and an approved account. It says smartphone visits carry a fee and on-site Viapath terminals are available at no cost. For legal visits, it lists the Legal Visitation Desk at 423-209-7081 and scheduling hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (checked October 24, 2026).
