Lanes on the Canadian border
On the northern border the Trusted Traveler program is NEXUS ($120 for 5 years since October 1, 2024; free for under-18s with a member parent) — it works at land, air, and sea crossings between the US and Canada. Lane types work the same as on the southern border.
If you live in the US without permanent status, leaving the country — including to Canada — can affect your case or block your return. Talk to an immigration attorney before traveling.
