CBP Deferred Inspection Site in Orlando, FL
The Orlando, FL Deferred Inspection Site is one of the more than 70 sites U.S. Customs and Border Protection lists on its deferred-inspection directory (checked October 25, 2026). CBP says these sites “provide assistance to those individuals who at the time of entry into the United States were scheduled for a deferred inspection or believe that the documentation and corresponding endorsements issued at the port of entry require review and possible correction.” This page carries what the directory lists for Orlando and what CBP’s own page for its port or field office adds.

How this site takes I-94 correction requests
For Orlando, the directory lists the e-mail mcoi94@cbp.dhs.gov under “I-94 Correction Instructions” and no other site-specific rule. CBP’s directory adds, for all sites: “Travelers are encouraged to contact sites not located within an international airport to establish an appointment, if necessary. In many instances, the location of your final destination where the discrepancy will be resolved may not be the port of your first arrival into the United States.” The same CBP directory says “Mail-in procedures are generally not available.”
What a deferred inspection site corrects, and what it does not
CBP’s directory describes the two things these sites do (checked October 25, 2026):
- Scheduled deferred inspections. “Deferred inspections are used when an immediate decision concerning the immigration status of an arriving traveler cannot be made at the port of entry due to a lack of documentation. On a case-by-case basis, the port of entry may schedule the traveler to report to a Deferred Inspection Site at a future date in order to present the necessary documentation and/or information.”
- Errors on arrival documents. Site staff “review and issue the necessary documents to remedy errors recorded on arrival documents issued at the time of entry to the United States relating to improper non-immigrant classification, inaccurate biographical information or incorrect period of admission, if appropriate.”
- Not handled here. “The Deferred Inspection Sites will only correct errors made at the time of entry. You must contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) if you wish to: replace a lost, stolen, or mutilated Crewman’s Landing Permit, CBP Form I-95; apply to extend your stay in the United States; or, change your immigration status.”
A lost, stolen or mutilated I-94, or one that needs replacing because of a USCIS error, goes through Form I-102 with USCIS, not a deferred inspection site; USCIS says not to file Form I-102 when CBP issued the I-94 with incorrect information, and that a traveler admitted at an air or sea port with an electronic I-94 gets a paper copy or replacement from CBP’s I-94 website instead; the I-94 record page explains the split.
